HKMU's Award Presentation Ceremony 2025

To recognise the contributions and outstanding performances of faculty and staff over the years, Hong Kong Metropolitan University held the annual Award Presentation Ceremony on 28 February 2025. A total of 17 school staff have received awards, including the “President’s Awards for Distinguished Achievement”, “President's Awards for Excellence in Inspirational Teaching” and “Long Service Award”. Once again, congratulations to all the award recipients. Thank you for your dedicated service to the University, and for your creativity and passion in education, which have provided the impetus for University's development.

School Members listed as “World's Top 2% Most-Cited Scientists”

Every year, Stanford University and the Elsevier Data Repository publish the list of the top 2% most-cited scientists globally. In the announcement made in 2024, a total of 15 scholars from Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) were recognized, including 4 scholars from the School of Nursing and Health Sciences. The list is as follows:

– Prof. Janet WONG Yuen-ha, Dean (Field: Nursing)
– Prof. Gary TSE, Associate Dean (Innovations and Research) (Field: Cardiovascular System & Hematology)
– Prof. Samuel CHU Kai-wah, Professor (Field: Education)
– Prof. Mimi TSE Mun-yee, Professor (Field: Nursing)

The annual list is based on the citation counts of scholars in their respective fields, considering both their career-long impact and their impact in a single recent year, using various metrics as selection criteria. This recognition signifies that these scholars have gained acknowledgment in the industry and have remarkable impact in their respective fields.

Award Presentation Ceremony 2024

An Award Presentation Ceremony was organized by Human Resources Office of HKMU to recognise staff's outstanding performance and contribution.

A total of 15 staff members from the School have received different awards, including the President’s Awards for Distinguished Achievement, President’s Awards for Excellence in Inspirational Teaching, Katie Shu Sui Pui Charitable Trust – Outstanding Research Publication Award, and Long Service Award.
